If visiting the Holy Land is on your bucket list, I am here to help you plan it! This was an amazing experience that brought a new perspective for the rest of the year. I boarded a flight in June 2023, embarking on my first solo travel. It was crucial for me to join a group of trusted individuals who shared a devotion to God’s heart. I captured numerous moments, some of which are featured at the end of this article.

Day 1: Flight + Exploring the Holy Sites

  • Mount of Olives
  • Garden of Gethsemane
  • Garden Tomb
  • Jerusalem

After a long flight, these places were at the top of my list. Witnessing these locations in person was a surreal experience. We stayed at a boutique hotel that provided all necessary amenities and served delightful breakfasts and dinners. The cuisine in Israel was absolutely delicious and refreshing. After a restful night, I eagerly awaited Day 2.

Day 2: Choosing Favorites

  • Jordan River
  • Qumran
  • Dead Sea
  • Jericho
  • Jerusalem

The Jordan River and Dead Sea had unique qualities. The Jordan River featured beautiful architecture, while the Dead Sea’s healing properties were found in its soil. The duration of your stay in the Dead Sea depended on the time of year, ensuring a balance between floating and timing.

Day 3: Exploring Ancient Ruins

  • Nazareth
  • Megiddo
  • Zippari
  • Precipice

Authentic ruins were the highlight of my Israel visit. The rich history of the land, continually discovered and learned about each year, was truly captivating. I was grateful to immerse myself in the lifestyle of the people from that time.

Day 4: A Spiritual Experience

  • Sea of Galilee
  • Magdala
  • Capernaum
  • Tabgha
  • Mt. Arbel

Day 4 brought forth tears of joy, realization, and divine answers. The experience was sensational, resonating on a spiritual level.

Days 6 & 7: Balancing Work and Exploration

When not working, exploring more of Israel became the priority. Day 6 involved an introspective tour of the Old City of Nazareth, while Day 7 brought a visit to the vibrant Nazareth Village filled with hardworking individuals.

Last Day: Until Next Time

On the drive back to Tel Aviv airport, stopping by Caesarea provided a knowledge overload. The history of the palace, city, etc., left me yearning to stay for a few extra days.

Planning for Israel has no right or wrong way. You might feel overwhelmed trying to do everything, but focusing on the experiences you truly desire will make your trip amazing. There are many discussions about my Israel experience and outlook. In the meantime, I hope this quick itinerary helps plan your activities when you’re in Israel.

Its 2024, I send peace and love for everyone in Israel. The friends and family I had made connections with along the way. Violence is not the answer. We are all one. I pray that one day, the hearts of men that are governed by evil, pride, and greed get relinquished with hearts of compassion, kindness, and love.

Until next time Israel, I look forward to seeing you again.
