Have you ever thought about take a trip to Phoenix, without the long drives of seeing everything? Well, this itinerary will be perfect for you if you care about experience and convenience.

First thing first, the Women’s Final Four was hosted in Phoenix this year! I will forward be a Gamecock, supporting The University of South Carolina.

Where to stay?

Hotel Valley Ho -Mid-century vibe, walkable to the city of Scottsdale, great pool and facilities.

Places to Eat?

FnB Restaurant located downtown Scottsdale is a true local Arizona ingredients. The vibe is unique and upscale with affordable prices for anyone!

Sugar Jam, black-owned restaurant filled with brunch options, vibes and wonderful food!

Citizen Public House is known for their chopped salads and upscale comfort food.

Things to do?

First Fridays Art Walk, located on Roosevelt Row with local artist, vendors, live music OR try out the Live Music at Grand Hyatt Scottsdale that reoccurs weekly.

Hot Air Ballon – Apex Ballon’s located 302 W Melinda Ln. There’s many hot air ballon companies in Arizona, since it’s very known. Majority of hot air ballon flights are in the morning (yes, 5 AM).

Desert Botanical Gardens is filled with beautiful desert landscapes, unique cactus, and an entire butterfly exhibit where you walk amongst 3,000 butterflies!

Hole in the Rock, is nearby and perfect for a short hike or capture pictures!

Taliesin West is Frank Lloyd Wrights desert home that was built in 1930s. The architecture and history speaks for itself.

Western Spirit: Scottsdale Museum of the West

Final Four Fest, due to the national championship being in Phoenix. There was a block party filled with semifinal games, food, live DJ, outdoor court, etc.

Make sure you always check out the calendar of events that’s occurring in the city! It’s so much fun to keep up with what’s happening around your stay versus only doing bucket list items.
